Bold Influencer: Lisa Pollard

I talk a lot about this to my private clients and on social media. If you want to grow a profitable business or ministry, YOU MUST work on building the mindsets and leadership that is going to sustain you during discouragement.

So, I want to give a little shout-out to team member, Lisa Pollard who first joined our community back in July. Her daughter Nikki was being treated for Leukemia and in the midst of all her adversity she wanted to keep her dream to launch The Victory Project alive. She also has a plan for a book in the midst of coaching women through her business. Here’s something she shared with our team that I really resounded with me and I thought would you also…..

“Praying & studying God’s word is just one component of life, putting into practice what we pray is our responsibility too. Meaning…I can’t just say, Lord, give me the words for this book you’ve called me to write and then not get out a pen and paper. I must put my prayers into motion by acting on them, it’s from there that He will direct and guide.”

Well, Lisa has tapped into a simple but very powerful mindset. Faith put into action is what creates success! She also knows that attempting to vision cast but not having support to see it though and hold her accountable is not going to work.

Here’s what she has to say about why she committed to doing the work in our community:

“Do you know someone that has said…I sure would like a new job, I’ve been praying and praying, and then them not apply or seek employment anywhere else? Yeah, we cannot live that way…it’s hidden sabotage. IF we want a more successful life, we must live disciplined, strategic, and intentional. I want you to know that whatever it is that you feel you are here on earth to experience in growing your leadership and future business…YOU CAN! Is it to lead a specific group? YOU CAN! Do you desire to write a book or start a business or a blog? YOU CAN! How about that life long dream to be used for the Kingdom and be successful with the gifts God has placed within you? YOU CAN! It just requires a determined mind, a dedicated prayer life, a set of stretching yet achievable goals, and people in your corner that also have your success in mind and that will help keep you accountable.”

We have that. We can help you if you don’t have a faith-based community that is focused on helping you grow your mindsets or grow your first $25,000 in coaching, speaking or training. Get started with this free call I am doing this month.

Contact me and let me listen to where you are and help you get plugged into accomplishing your dreams to influence for the kingdom!

How To Evaluate An Experience Effectively

Individuals who continue in self-sabotaging behavior, whether it is spiritually, emotionally, financially, relationally or physically all have one thing in common.  They don’t know how to evaluate their experiences in a way that leads them to greater Lordship.

Subsequently, individuals who are successfully leading themselves and others are doing so because they walk in a high level of self-evaluation, learn from their mistakes and this makes them trust worthy even during times of apparent failure.  When people know you have a high degree of transparency in your life and do regular self-evaluation, they feel safer and are willing to trust you through turbulent transitions.

Today, I want to share with you how to evaluate what you might feel like are negative experiences and avoid following the traditional road of going along with what the majority thinks.  Another tactic of the enemy is making a decision because your afraid of what people will think of you.  You will never carry the confidence necessary to be a leader unless you can do the following during a painful experience or conflict.

  • Lordship is built by finishing, with clarity and power, what you started.  Many times people will say God told them to do something. If God truly tells you to do something, he has already provided for you the way to complete it and transition into the next thing successfully.  In prayer, when you have worshipped God and are still, ask the Holy Spirit this question. Am I believing a lie that I can’t continue this route and finish it with they way I intended to bring it to closure. Ditch the excuses on why you think it can’t be done, ask God for the ability to hear him and tap into your identity in Christ to finish like Jesus did.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if you are making reactive decisions out of anger or fear. Many times people give into the anxiety and pressure of a situation and make narcissistic decisions (which leads to them feeling like failures when it blows up). A simple self-evaluation asking the Holy Spirit in prayer to empower you to approach your challenge REALISTICALLY, preparing to make small changes that lead to peace is a route God can bless easily. Hint: Not just your peace but the peace and prosperity of a everyone involved.
  • Are you recognizing and validating your feelings and others viewpoints. Many times people who come out of addiction based homes minimize their own feelings before others. When you don’t allow yourself to take the actions that validate your feelings, you will become passive aggressive. This one thing will save you tons of conflict as it’s a character issue. There is a way to validate how people feel (perhaps not their choices) and still keep unity. A solid time of prayer and worship will enable you to ask yourself this question in a detached manner.
  • Is a compelling story in your life being built? Will this story if it comes to a good end help you share a testimony of God’s grace? If so, then before the Lord in prayer, ask him to make choices that are going to give you grace to weather the stress.
  • Can you accept you failed and you are not a failure? If not, then you will feel victimized when you go through this challenge rather than growing in leadership. People who are shame-based internalize failure as who they are rather than accepting they needed to take more ownership and learn from their mistakes.

Did this help give you clarity? If so, share with me the one point that really spoke to you. Meet you in the comments!

3 Tips For Keeping Momentum Through Chaos

What makes the difference between success and sabotage in overcoming chaos? Perseverance.

Often times it isn’t the most talented individual or the person with the most money who is successful, it’s the person who simply will not quit and keeps investing into their vision by FAITH!  I believe one of the things that enables us to persevere to the end of a vision, through chaotic seasons, is simply coming to a place where our natural strength is gone and we have to ask God to give us a supernatural faith to finish. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy so you must guard you daily prayer time and your faith in Christ. Here’s a quick way to discern how to persevere through a trial.

FAITH will always be future oriented. It gives you an expected hope and end. FEAR will remind you of where you failed, who you can’t trust, why you can’t move forward due to lack and why you can’t be successful.

Here’s what you need to know about starting and finishing your vision. You will have moments when you’re exhausted and you’re ready to quit. That is the time you have to pray and ask God to ignite you for the sake of others.  I try never to put my hand to something that is all about me because I know myself. I will quit. However, if I am serving others, I will always finish because I am motivated by love.

It makes no difference whether you want to lose 50 pounds or speak for Christ.  These principles apply.

  1. Become militantly aware of your thoughts.

This is the first battleground and where most people fail. Satan will always inject a fear-based thought that you think is your own and if you don’t reject it immediately, he will grow it. Here are some of mine from literally two hours ago.

  • I feel fuzzy and unclear.  (overwhelm)
  • I am too old for horses. I don’t have what it takes to train a high energy horse. I am going to get seriously injured. (steal my joy)

Do you think any of those thoughts were from the Lord? Hmmm. Nope. I said out loud to all of them. I do not receive this thought.

2.    Believe God wants to give you victory and your footsteps and circumstances are ordered by him even thought they feel completely overwhelming.

When you see the compassion and works of Christ, you know he is simply reflecting his Father. Your Father wants to heal. He wants to provide. He wants to bring mercy where there is judgment. HE IS A GOOD DAD! When you fail, you simply run back to your Dad and ask for forgiveness and that you can yield to the work he wants to do in your life. When you have trouble, turmoil and challenges, go to the Lord and say this:

Lord Jesus, I accept all you bring by your hand. The sabotages and the successes. However, if this trial is from Satan, I resist it and I ask you Lord to illuminate to me in prayer if this a demonic attack. Learn how to pray and take patterns and repetitive challenges into prayer with you. God will show you if it is an obstacle that he has brought to conform you to the image of Christ or if it is from the pit of hell and you are to resist, pray and stand strong until he flees. Most of what you will deal with will be oppression not discipline from God.

3.    Plan on sharing your testimony with others. Today because you can’t be a victim and a victor at the same time.

We have overcome through the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Revelation 12:11

Always tell the Lord in prayer that you can’t wait to share this victory story with others. The enemy wants to suffocate and restrict, he loves pity. Loves painting you as a victim because it detracts from your sonship/daughtership in Christ! When people ask you how you are doing, or how things are going, ALWAYS SHARE something God has done to move your forward rather than what is lacking. Even in the midst of a fiery trial, this will keep you full of faith. If people ask you how they can pray, share with them that you want prayer that your faith will stay activated and passionate and that God’s will be done. You will see tremendous increase in your life from declaring the praises of God DURING the battle and what God is going to do for you AHEAD. Remember David and Goliath!

Are You On Survival Mode? Tips For Thriving

My overall mission is to help you take the places in your life that the enemy meant to DESTROY you and show you how to use your identity to kick him in the hinderparts so you can transform lives for Christ!

In every conversation that I have with a client or friend who is hurting, I want to activate their faith to believe God for resurrection power and then take IMMEDIATE action. When we have real biblical faith we take action. Without that, we have a powerless religion and no demonstration of Christ on our lives.

When you begin to see what God will do for you with just these two simple strategies, you will find He delights to enlarge you to share your story on how you overcame.

Some of you have a strong calling for ministry, speaking, coaching, writing your own books and the enemy wants to keep you in survival mode so you don’t accomplish the purpose God has given you! Don’t let him! Watch today’s video and learn what you can do to move out of this state within a very short amount of time.

How To Wait On The Lord Practically

In today’s video, I want to talk to you about what I learned about waiting on the Lord in the context of moving from a prophetic vision to an actual apostolic model in business. Prophetic is what helps you birth your vision but then you have to move into a new mindset and that will cause you to have to wait on the Lord in a new way.

Don’t sabotage yourself with passivity or frustration from not seeing your vision come to pass fast enough.

First Steps For Weight Loss

First, when you are ready to begin building a “fit identity”…Ask Christ in prayer to help you let go of any past failure’s when you attempted to lose weight, emotional trauma’s or judgements you have made towards others.

If you want to become more self controlled, biblically that is done through the Holy Spirit. And let me encourage you today, if you’re heart is to talk about Christ helping you lose weight, then you want to pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your life. It is his job to empower you with boldness and to speak in a compelling way that points to Christ.

When I ask the Holy Spirit for a new grace, I begin with a simple temple cleanse of my heart and conscience. Pray this with me:

Lord Jesus,

I specifically repent of the times in my life where I have judged others for the way they treated me or spoke to me that caused me to become offended or defensive. I choose to forgive abundantly so I may be forgiven.

I ask you to forgive me Lord for judging others on why they don’t have more self-discipline with food, their words, their finances or the way they steward their stuff. I am not their master, you are and I ask you to help me focus on what you have given me to steward and not other people’s lives.

I LET GO of any weight, worry or fear that is heavy on my heart. I LET GO of all trauma’s and I speak ABUNDANT life, peace and joy over my body and emotions. I expect to be filled with Holy Ghost power and overflowing with liberty because I have taken the time to lose weight your way so I may give you glory. Father, open up an effectual door of witnessing for me with even my first 5 pounds. Send me to those who need to know your love, forgiveness and joy that I may give them hope!

Secondly, I want you to understand this clearly. FAILURE is a mindset. It is not WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST. When you learn this, you can apply it to all new goals you attempt to finish. FAILURE is just an emotion that arises and deceives you and this comes from judging yourself or a performance based mindset. It’s SPIRITUAL WARFARE to prevent you from living boldly for God and pursuing your goals and vision.  In Christ, as we speak the word and are conformed to HIM, we receive more grace and freedom. We literally gravitate towards health and peace because this is who CHRIST is.  This one revelation will set you free to become a FINISHER if you receive this!

I want to give you a testimony from a member of our team Wanda Rhodes:

She has started on Week 3 in our membership area (We have over 50 lessons for you to go through to help you build a bold identity that is influential and transformational!

I realized suddenly, I have been holding back out taking action out of a fear of failure. Because of my past I tend to internalize failure as being something that is “me” instead of an act that is external to me. To combat this hesitancy, I posted a Live video on Facebook which was really hard but once I did it I felt like that giant was finally slayed and it won’t be difficult next time. I feel wonderful, like I’m fully alive, when I live boldly so I want to keep doing it!

Fitness and Faith

I don’t like diets or the mentality behind it as it wreaks of striving. I am not a fitness coach or a nutritionist. However, I do ask two things of people entering my programs, and that is to COMMIT to a healthy lifestyle of stewardship.

I do training on beginning your day at 5am in prayer and asking my leaders to do an hour of cardio a day to build a fit “identity”. This is for a couple reason’s. Most of it has to do with learning how to handle stress well and decompress in a healthy way rather than medicating yourself with food or alcohol.

First, if you are a Christian, you are called to stewardship. What God gives you, he expects us to take care of, nurture and multiply. Your body needs good food and sleep to stay functioning at it’s best. This goes for your faith, finances, family and fitness. Want to be secure financially? Be moderate with your spending and save your money. Want to be fit? Be moderate with your intake and burn more calories than you eat.

Secondly, you need stamina for your purpose and calling. You need to be able to stand on your feet all day and all night if needed. You will need to be able to travel, stay alert and have good cardio to speak when you get there. You don’t need to get winded walking up the stairs to pray or speak. You also need to be able to do this longterm which by the way, I know people who are still traveling and doing ministry into their late 80’s right now.

Third, we are to live a moderate lifestyle if we want to be spiritual leaders or teachers as the gospel is a message of abundant love.  Let me encourage you here. I constantly see a correlation between poverty mindsets and overeating. At the root of a lack of stewardship is typically fear and idolatry that creates barriers to intimacy. People can’t feel the love of God or impart it the way they want to.

Fourth, it witnesses about Lordship without you opening your mouth. I tell my clients this all the time. Lose 10 pounds and watch how many people ask you how you did it. Do it the way I am suggesting, through your identity in Christ and team accountability and you will have an opportunity to talk about how Jesus resurrected instead of the Paleo Diet. It’s also a lot more fun:)

Fifth, you are doing your part to make your latter days greater than your former years. We all want to increase as we grow older in our love, service and strength. Guess what? That doesn’t happen unless your intentionally building it.

Let me tell you what applying your faith to the proceeding 5 things will eliminate out of your life pain wise.

  1. The constant doubt and unbelief about whether you have the ability to finish what you start.
  2. The shame you feel in your heart and the condemnation the enemy places you under because of a lack of obedience.
  3. You will sleep better and look younger. (Funny how peace through prayer and stewardship accomplishes that)
  4. The insecurity you struggle with because you’re afraid when you get up to speak, coach or pray with people, they are not going to receive your message fully because you’re not walking your talk.
  5. The lack of power in your influence with family and friends. We can only reproduce what we walk in authentically for others.

Have any questions? Thoughts on how to implement this if you have been injured or need medication that is throwing off your metabolism? Let me know in the comments. If you need support to build more physical stewardship into your life, I will be taking my team through a 3/4 “fit identity” bootcamp starting next week and invite you to be part for a month. No previous athletic experience necessary!

Faith forward, Love, Bec:)

Practical Presence Of God

Today I want to talk to you about the presence of God as it is a shield around your life.  I have been around people who were fasting and praying in such a concentrated way that when they came into the room, you could feel tangibly the presence of God. To me, the presence of God causes a real stillness in a room. It makes time slow down, and you’re in a hyper-awareness that grips your spirit. It’s supernatural, but yet, there are things you can do every day to cultivate this kind of aroma and fragrance around you even without praying for 3/4 hours a day like some of the intercessors I know.

So, here’s the thing.  The presence of God is something you grow in your life. You don’t go there with a map in one day. People can’t lay hands on you, and suddenly you’re like WHALA, poof! A cloud surrounds you. Nope! The presence of God comes from simple things like suffering well, praising God during times you’re fearful and making right choices when it’s easier to take short-cuts.

I used to have ZERO presence of God in my life and now I walk with God daily in a way that people tell me is tangible, compelling, and frankly, I see God work on a daily basis. So, let me break this down for you into specific actions. You can see God’s presence grow in your marriage, parenting, finances, work, etc.

    1. Everyone wants the “abundant life, ” but that means you have to be abundant relationally towards others. So next time you want to say something cynical, judgmental or snarky, shut your mouth and assume the best. This will cause you to decrease and the Holy Spirit to take greater control of your life. Just imagine they made a simple mistake like you want others to think about you. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman who is sensitive, and he likes to be around people who are gracious, kind and thoughtful. Don’t you?
    2. Delight and joy come when you choose to be grateful for what you have, thankful for the things others do for you, and you praise God instead of pursuing “happiness.” God cares about character more than he cares about comfort. You will see your life become significant to others when you begin to be the kind of person that is a blessing instead of a pain in the butt, narcissistic, all about you all the time.
    3.  Wisdom and protection come when you memorize scripture and speak to fear instead of letting it define your decisions. This takes practice. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you when you’re making choices based on what people think about you or what will bring you the best outcome instead of what will serve others. God often asks us to sacrifice first before others. Watch what you look at with your eyes and who you hang around. Faithful people surround themselves with other trustworthy people who guard their hearts.
    4. The financial provision comes when you have a vision that is compelling, and you help others receive the results they are needing. You don’t have to talk about money, tithing, why people should give, and other pressure tactics that spiritual leaders do when they have NO FAITH or they are under a mammon spirit.  When you hear someone talk about a need or lack, become the kind of person who FIGURES OUT HOW TO SOLVE THAT FINANCIALLY for them! Guess what happens to you in return? People know you can have the faith to push through lack and they will be magnetized with grace towards what you have going on! Get good at delivering specific results, and you will grow with grace.
    5. Favor comes from God’s presence when we sacrifice our time to sow into the lives of others when we would prefer to be doing something else. Time is money. So when we purposely sacrifice our time or efforts to sow into people that can’t return the favor, you will see answered prayers, salvation and supernatural support. It’s amazing!

One more thing. Some of the most significant times of God’s presence in my life have come from me crying out to God in very desperate situations in which I had no answers or solutions. I talk about how this happened and what you can do to grow this in this short video. Do whatever you have to do to cultivate this in your life, and you will die a very wealthy man or woman.

    Faith Forward! Bec:)

13 Tips To Combat FEAR Without Meds

Are you struggling with a distracting level of fear? Then you’re in a battle. When you are in a fight, in order to win, you have to become strategic about WINNING once and for all. If you are a Christian, you have an extra arsenal at your disposal. Your identity in Christ!

Even though your salvation is instant, the process to become an overcomer requires TRAINING. Here’s a little cheat sheet I made up for when you’re dealing with fear and need some practical steps on how to overcome it.

Be as militant about solving fear at the roots because the enemy is committed to your bondage.

Approach Fear With A Life Or Death Militancy

1. Get up at 5 am with coffee and start reading the word to activate faith. Ask God for more courage, declare your identity in Christ over yourself. Speak specific scriptures.
2. Walk fast or run for 1 hour and listen to your favorite worship music. Worship is WARFARE that confuses the enemy.
3. Eat a protein every 21/2 hours to keep blood sugar stable. Fatigue creates double-mindedness.
4. Call a friend to agree with me in prayer that you will be an overcomer in this area and Christ will have a testimony that glorifies himself.
5. Do not talk about this fear with anyone else after committing it to prayer and with a friend. Rehearsing what may happen does nothing but saturate your body with anxiousness.
6. When realizing you are visualizing a bad outcome, just redirect thoughts an out-loud quote a scripture that will give you courage. (Jesus didn’t think answers to the devil, he spoke the word out-loud. It’s a sword, use it.)
7. Avoid negative, critical people, any TV programs or movies that are fear based or reflect people becoming victimized.
8. Pray and ask God for a solution to this challenge. When you get ANY idea’s, act on them immediately. Evaluate outcome and lean in the direction of anything that took you one step closer to victory.
9. Think of two or three friends that you respect in this area that have been over-comers. Ask them for their best tips. Even if you tried it already, do it again with faith.
10. During the day, pause internally and just acknowledge the presence of Christ. He is with you, he never leaves you or will abandon you. Just inwardly drawing near will give you more peace.
11. Get out in sunshine for 1 hour a day; Vitamin D elevates your mood.
12. Get a good night sleep and try to resist sugar. Run to God and try not to medicate with food or alcohol. It only gives temporary relief rather than God’s peace which will point to him.
13. If people ask you how you are doing, tell them that you expect the best and describe what you are hoping happens. Make sure to smile when you share where you are going in faith! This is not fake it till you make it, this is SPEAKING order to the chaos. (Genesis 1)

Do you need more training or support? Coaching is pro-active and result oriented. This course is a low-cost way to invest in growing more clarity, confidence and success.

How To Pray And Bless Your Enemies Practically

Today, I want to share with you how to pray for the people that are causing you to feel bitter and resentful.

Why do we want to do this? Well first, unforgiveness will kill your clarity and every bit of purpose you are called to. It’s SPIRITUAL WARFARE that has to be overcome by PRAYER.

I have been betrayed. Disappointed. Let down. But every single time the enemy came in to steal my peace and my hope…like a FLOOD the spirit of God lifted up a standard, and I was promoted. I believe this in part was due to what I am going to share with you today so listen, this is one of the best tips I have for you if you feel stuck in past conflicts and relational traumas.

You’re going to pray very specifically and consistently for this person. I tell people to pray for a year if necessary on a daily basis. Many times we just give people platitudes that are generic and don’t bring them to the personal pain and suffering in the cross. It’s reasonable Christianity to pray for those who mistreat and persecute you unjustly.

Everything you want in your own life and need RIGHT NOW, you’re going to pray for them to receive a powerful blessing. Here’s some I have helped clients work through. I learned this by implementing it and seeing the results in my own life. This works SO POWERFULLY you’ll be amazed by the freedom and joy you feel after a very short time. I have even written out prayers for my clients with these issues.

  1. Bitter Divorce. You’re going to pray financial provision that is abundant for this individual. That their heart heals from the abandonment, they have felt. You’re going to pray against any assignment of rejection coming against them. You’re going to pray that God sends them a new spouse that is under Lordship and parents out of a revelation of feeling deep love and highly favored by God.
  2. You got fired. You’re going to pray that God sends the leadership team or your ex-boss fabulous, spirit-filled employees who are on fire for God and walk in authority. You’re going to pray a financial blessing on the whole company. That their business will explode with profits and they will run the company with integrity.
  3. You have family that is addicted to… That the Lord will bless them with a long life and great peace. That he provides money for them and they use that to make right choices. That they know how to receive and give God’s abundant love and be sent to serve others out of their own overcoming message. That the Lord uses for good what the enemy means to destroy them with.
  4. You’ve been molested or sexually traumatized. You’re going to pray for this individual that they receive the love of Christ. That they can break free from the shame, guilt, and condemnation that they are under and that they receive a revelation of their identity in Christ. That they find good friends that help them safe, forgiven and free. That they can walk in wholeness in their sexuality.

And here’s the thing, praying like this will KILL your flesh, and you will walk under the PROMOTION of God. Any thoughts to add? Meet me in the comments below and let’s talk about it!
