With most of my clients, new identities simply are created when they are willing to give themselves permission to want MORE and do the work to get it. Oh yeah, minor detail. The kingdom requires a work ethic…I have yet to encounter a sparkle cloud on my coaching headset though for the record Dear Jesus, I am completely open to it.

God knew this when he transitioned Abram to Abraham. “Sell the house, pack the car and family dog and head out”. The stepping stone to new identities is learning how to be ruthlessly obedient to the steps and strategies God has given YOU personally.

God’s perfect will, whether it be financial, spiritual, relational or physical is always found right in the area that you absolutely feel the most sabotaged in. The breakthrough does not reside in your ability to copy anyone else’s success, rather it comes from obeying what God tells you personally to do.

Jane is a Christian professional in the educational arena (PHD) and very competent at her job. When these kings focused in FAITH on accomplishing the goals set before them and took action, they prospered.When they wavered in fear and delay, they suffered and so did those they were called to serve.

To fulfill their calling, God gave them 6 essential talents:

1. The ability to discern divine invitations.

2. Physical strength and health (So they could
accomplish the work God had called them to).

3. Understanding on how to hear God for direction and
and not need affirmation from family and friends.

4. A spiritual anointing that brought deliverance
and healing to the body corporately.

5. An ability to be a conduit for wealth and
provision.

6. A grace to unify God’s people using their own
unique identity(that brought RESULTS). So, let me ask you this. Are you tired of not being able to harness all your potential into provision?  Or serving others whole-heartedly but not seeing the results your want income wise? This is about helping you HARNESS your IDENTITY and learn the strategic things you need to know to communicate under an anointing that is authentic and TRANSFORMS people’s lives. I can’t tell you how badly I feel when I listen to passionate Christians talk about how they have to take second or third jobs because they don’t understand how to communicate their identity consistently, authentically and integrate that into all their marketing. When they don’t get the results they want, it makes them second guess themselves, their call and then SEEK out people and organizations to RELEASE them. When the bottom line is it is SIMPLE BOLDNESS and clarity work on WHO THEY ARE CALLED TO SERVE would solve their problem. So, yes, I am pretty fired up about this because I SABOTAGED my DESTINY and PROFITS because I kept holding myself back thinking I would work hard but receive no pay-out!

Are you like I used to be? Struggling with feeling victimized financially? If so, there are a couple mindsets that are imperative for you to shift to if you want to be able to grow a non-profit or business profitably. Here are a couple of things that has helped me over the years segway out of a victimization mentality that saturated my finances, (and I believe went hand in hand with a spirit of Mammon), into the kind of financial increase that brings provision for your family and overflow to serve others with.

Notice I did not say financial wealth that GOD makes his personal priority for you to have or you are not a successful Christian. The only thing that he prioritizes for you on a day-to-day basis after you receive Christ is death to your flesh and more intimacy with HIM. (and if you are blessed you will be exposed to persecution, rejection and tribulations for his namesake). Here in America we have a hard time fitting that part in theologically.

First, God desires you to have confidence and serve others with your unique identity, and yes, even get paid well-doing it. Second, It is not a sin to make a profit. It is a sin for you to worship your ability to build wealth (which is a grace from God) and mesh your identity in Christ into accumulating status, power and worldly goods.

Here are a couple of thoughts for you to ponder as a Christian business or a ministry leader. Jesus was a carpenter and most likely his dad died between the age of 12 and the beginning of his ministry. He and his brothers had to support the family through their business.Think about it, how do you envision Jesus running his business? Was he building quality crafted furniture and getting paid half of what it was worth, because he couldn’t figure out his margin and set good boundaries?

Did he not have enough for groceries or to pay the bills because his business couldn’t meet their needs?(and maybe even a little extra for Mary to bake cakes for the neighbors and to buy his Mom a new dress now and then). Was his business in the red or profitable? We don’t know but I do know this, what you believe about how Jesus would run his business will influence how you run yours. He transitioned from business to a non for profit ministry, cared for himself and 12 member staff and still made a profit.

I am not getting into whether he was rich and for that matter who cares, but the fact remained there was a treasurer for the money that was left over(Judas was dipping into it) so it was growing financially. Nor was he giving every penny he made away (for the ministry). I bring up these points because many of my clients are ministry leaders and passionate for Christ small business owners. They struggle just like I used too with this sabotage. I will call it the “willing financial victim mentality”.

I did not understand kingdom principles concerning money and so in order to not have to take ownership I just gave everything I made away or piddled it away rather than invest it and grow it properly. I am still not where I want to be but thrilled with where I am going. Doing what I am passionate doing, being a conduit for the power of God and making a profit so I can provide for my family AND bless others with. I believe my Father would be pleased with that also:)

Here’s some quick tips from a faith based perspective on how to use yours to serve people and create your board!

I remember feeling Oppressed (with a capital O) and came out of these
meetings with LIBERTY and BOLDNESS. The long-term results of these “Suddenly Season outpourings?”  People laughed, cried, had
addictions/oppression broken off of them, many repented and got saved. One my
business partners husbands who was an ATHEIST got radically saved. The guy is an
incredible intercessor today. YES, God chooses to open up wells of refreshing in
places and people TODAY, however,  it is never for just OUR increase. It is to
take our overflow and use it to point people towards a supernatural father who
loves them and showed that by sending his ONLY SON to die for them
personally.

Let me ask you this. Do you need a supernatural touch from the
Father? Will you share it boldly and be a witness when you get your
breakthrough? How would you like to become a conduit for the power of
God and watch people’s lives be transformed through your prayers and small
strategic actions? How would you like to start walking boldly in the power of
God right now and being used in a mighty way despite your many shortcomings.
Oh, I got plenty of them but I know the Lord is not focused on them but rather my childlike faith and action!

If this is you, here are 3 key actions YOU need to take to prepare for a new identity and authority that marks YOUR SUDDENLY SEASON.

First, you need to step out in faith to accept a BIG INVITATION. One that you believe you could not accomplish without God’s help. Promotion comes from stewarding incremental success. David was promotable because he
was COACHABLE. He humbled himself daily and was willing to set himself aside to train physically and guard what God had given him to steward daily. Interestingly enough, God honored faithfulness with animals into stewardship with a MILLIONS of people. I hope that is encouraging to all you pet owners.

Secondly, when you receive your invitation, it is often in the middle of when you feel the most lack. Think about this, David was having to step up to the plate to kill lions, bears and later Goliath in the midst of feeling completely rejected, overlooked and under-resourced by his Father. When I moved into my most fun and powerful kingdom identity, I had to do it in the middle of an ID Theft for almost a million dollars. Back to David… He wasn’t even invited to dinner with his brothers when the prophet Samuel came looking to anoint the next leader. David had to be willing to press through the desperation to feel loved by his natural dad and additionally believe that with God he did not need that recognition, that he was significant to his heavenly Father and promotion came from God not
man.

Third, are you willing to set yourself aside with a Daniel Fast/No Alcohol for 12 weeks starting Jan. 1st in your city with a team? Power for weight-loss, power for clarity and power to see your prayers

Here are some ways I  minister and  impact my growth in the middle of winter and summer and you can too.

New Year’s is the time when 99% of the population is focused on becoming a better person. Simply put, people are motivated to do the work and to connect with issues close to their heart. The top New Years goals? Lose weight, spend more time with their family, “Be happy” and invest financially. With a half, you have covered all four effortlessly.  If you not aware, I can tell you based on my experience that many people who would never normally go to church, will join a walk/run team and not miss one training. In addition, when you train with people for a half-marathon, you consistently have one or two hours to talk with them about their personal challenges, their famiiles and what they believe spiritually. Let me say, it just couldn’t get any easier from a evangelistic perspective. Line them up, pray and watch the fun begin! Oh, of course you ask them if you can pray for them:)

Summer creates the same kind of momentum. People want to lose weight so they can fit into their shorts and swim suits, and it’s a perfect time to build relationally since people are more relaxed. Typically, when friends and family see the discipline and weight loss that results from training from a half-marathon, they get excited and want to join the next team. If you are running a small business or non-profit, throw in training for a charity and you will find it easier to magnetize clients/members than any other time of the year.

New Year’s and Summer enlarges your evangelistic out reach and your profits. This is a time to grow personally and organizationally, and to help those around you catch a vision of what building a BOLD, Physical Identity can do for their clarity and their confidence, as well as helping them keep momentum long-term.

The new year and summer can help you build morale and a team spirit within your business or non-profit. People love to be part of something passionate and purposeful; raising money for a charity helps them to feel like they are not just investing in themselves, but investing in global causes. Training for a half-marathon helps people step up to the plate and finish something BIG.  Over the long haul, exercise helps eliminate depression, releases endorphins, and is one of the best ways to channel the stress that your people have to deal with in a difficult economy and post-911 era. People who may never get involved in a “church,” will get involved during these two times of year just so they can get in shape.

These two times of year increase your partnerships. I have found that special times like New Year’s and summer mobilize small businesses and non-profits. Once I connect with these leaders, I am able to talk about how we can build mutually-benefically partnerships and prayer teams.

Half-marathons increase your prospect list. Because the teams bring so many different kinds of people, you will gain access to profitable relationships, invitations for speaking, and media attention. Put a plan in place and be sure to pitch your local businesses, radio stations and media outlets on what cause you are supporting, so they can be part of your momentum.

These half-marathons also stretch people’s faith. The righteous are as bold as a lion, and the wicked flee at shadows. It is a great opportunity to pray with people and challenge them to get out of their boxes, believe for bigger results, and position them to transform peoples’ lives through modeling. God wants us to reach people for Christ, so there is nothing wrong with praying while you walk/run and asking them about what specific requests they have for their family and friends.

Let’s pray and be purposeful as we seek to grow the Kingdom and our profits as the New Year get closer!

 

1. One-third of Americans are struggling to live to their “fullest potential.”

2. Seventy million Americans feel held back by their past.

3. Nearly 70 million Americans are dealing with emotional conflict.

4. One-sixth of Americans are wrestling with the role of church and religion.

I used to be one of the 70 Million. But I have good news for you. What God does for one person, he will do for you. God will give you strength to bring forth you destiny. And he longs to provide you with:

• Assurance you are in his perfect will (despite financial difficulties, relational conflict or feelings of depression)
• Partners that are grace filled, fun and that will help you finish strong.
• Supernatural power so you can impact and influence with Kingdom authority.
• The revelation you need to carry a “Joseph Anointing” so that you can establish justice for your family and the oppressed.

Want to begin to step into YOUR unique identity and anointing? Do this. Next time you receive an invitation from someone to do something that is out of your comfort zone, don’t let these words come out of your mouth. “That’s….not…..me.  If you are praying for increase like I do everyday, make sure when your opportunity comes you don’t pass it up because the person is the “wrong color, the opposite sex, not smart enough, rich enough, too young, or too old. God will send you EXACTLY who you need to move into your destiny if you are open to receiving from unlikely places. Pray today that God will open your eyes to the individuals he sends into your live to take you into your next level of authority.

Destiny starts with a capital D.

D is for daring. D is for doer.

Des..tiny starts small. Tiny as a matter of fact. But once you become accustomed to stepping up to the plate in a big bold way when you receive challenges, opposition and persecution, that is when you begin to step into YOUR destiny. You take your inheritance from not quitting during the trials.

At a deeper level, it is to help you gain more visibility and to build trust in your products and services.

Why do I love content marketing for coaches, consultants and non-profit leaders? Here are just a few reasons:

1. Content marketing can help you serve your “tribe” powerfully, without spending a dime. By creating an original PDF or white paper,  you can entice people to give you their email without hype or manipulation. Clearly communicating the results with WOW testimonials on a frequent basis, measuring your results, and creating quality content is not as a difficult as you would think. It just takes time and strategic action.

3. Content marketing can help you grow passionately and increase provision for you and your organization. If you are clear and consistent about your identity and message, you will begin to be able to “cherry-pick” your clients because your pipeline will remain full. You will avoid having to take clients that you cannot serve powerfully or who will undermine your business and make you have to work twice as hard to serve. Also, as you develop content, you will be able to develop materials that you can later turn into systems, packages and products, if you desire, so you can actually make money while you sleep!

Where does this identity theft take place? Typically in your child- hood, during some kind of painful event. It could have been a physical challenge that caused you to feel victimized (one of mine was Asthma) or an authority figure in your life that no matter how hard you tried, you could never please. Somewhere along the lines, you made an inner vow that no matter how hard you tried, it didn’t matter because you were not going to win. So you began to settle.

The root of this began for me with an alcoholic father that could never be pleased. I remember one Saturday morning as a teenager, when Dad was sleeping late, getting up early to mow the lawn for him since he loved a manicured lawn. I did the front and back yards, picked up every stepping stone
on the front lawn to make it uniform and then patiently waiting for Dad to awake so he could be surprised. I walked with him out to the front yard, eagerly awaiting his approval. Instead, he began to point out to me all the places I missed and then walked back into the house matter-of-factly to get more coffee.
It hurt.

What identity did this produce in me as a leader? Someone who played it safe. A person who never wanted to be bold relationally and communicate my needs confidently because I could be rejected. A woman who never put 100% of my heart and passion into anything because the truth was, deep down I doubted I could deliver results. In my business? I compromised my fees and gave away my services. I settled (the first year) for clients that were half-hearted and wouldn’t take 100% ownership of their own success. My subconscious thought process? Well, I didn’t put my whole self into this project or relationship (or require a strong fee or commitment from the client) so I can’t be held responsible for lack luster results. In ministry? I waited to be “released” into my calling rather than apostolically move forward with boldness and let my fruit speak for my calling. Yikes! Can you see how I sabotaged my own success and provision repeatedly?

Other ways I sabotaged my own success:

• Negativity: By being critical, I removed myself as a participant and became a judge. That
  way, I never had to take ownership and risk failing.
• Perfectionism: I prevented myself from taking more territory and enlarging my personal life and
  business because I had to be perfect. I couldn’t take on big projects, relationships or goals because there was a possibility that I would make a mistake and fail. Then people would know the truth. I was a fake.
• I played the victim. When I felt out of control, I would constantly verbalize how stressed I was. This would cause me to attract people who were enablers and enjoyed rescuing. This really sabotaged me on teams, because we could never focus on a common goal since I was always diverting attention to myself.

If you recognize any of yourself in my old, sabotaging patterns, it’s time to build a
new identity!

One of the first things I did spiritually was write down this Scripture and quote it every day: “I am complete in HIM who is the head of all principality and power.” Colossians 2:10. He is enough. Your identity in HIM is to rule and reign in the heavenlies, far above all principalities and powers. NOW! TODAY! Your inheritance is to understand at a soul level you are deeply loved, highly favored and free
from all striving. You can be free to make plenty of mistakes and still get to eat the big enchilada at the end of the day.

Secondly, you can ask for feedback because that is all it is. Input to help you serve more people, more powerfully. You do not have to internalize failure because it is not who you are. If that doesn’t blow your socks off, I don’t what will!

When you encounter negative people or get poor feedback such as: you worked really hard and lost money; poured into people and you received no “Thank You” or respect; or you feel empty and lonely, it’s a sign [here's your sign! ] that you are not putting clear and healthy boundaries into place and you have removed yourself positionally from where you are supposed to be identity-wise.

Remember, settling for mediocrity may protect your heart from being hurt or negative feedback, but the price you will pay is relinquishing your destiny. Find partnerships and teams that will help you take big commitments, because every time you finish one, you will gain more confidence and affirmation for playing big!
