Here is how to get speaking engagements for Christians: 10 specific step by step strategies to move from zero opportunities to building momentum speaking every month.

 1. Define your identity, how you serve and deliver specific strategies for success. The way you build expertise and your brand is by providing solutions.  Take the time to develop one to three messages that offer very clear strategies and the results.  The truth is if you don’t take the time to write out this speech and practice it, you really are not serious about doing the work to get opportunities. God honors FAITH coupled with ACTION, most of the time people leave out the action part:). Need help honing your skills? Join a local Toastmasters club.

2. When you have your one to three messages together, put together a free teleconference EVERY MONTH and begin to advertise it on social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and through your contacts.  You can sign up for that here and they will even develop a professional sounding message for your participants to hear when they arrive for your call. Free.  Make sure to have a strong call to action when you are finished so that you can close business from your call. It takes time to build a trustworthy reputation and you must be consistent with the way you serve. Don’t sabotage yourself and your brand with sporadic service. People don’t trust what isn’t consistent.

3. Private email and message your best contacts sharing with them what you are doing and ask them to share your FREE “invitation” only call you put together on their platforms, even if your contact list is small. When people go to buy a service they do two things. They search on line for what they are looking for and then they ask a friend. A referral from a friend is HUGE and not to be discounted. You don’t need to have access to celebrities. You need to just start connecting where you are.

4. Shoot video of every small group speaking or event you do. Invest in a Flip Camera or something similar that is  small, inexpensive and easily uploaded to You Tube.   Even if you are speaking to a small group, take someone with you to record.  Hopefully you will say something brilliant, everyone will laugh or shout out and you will appear amazing:) and you have it on video. When you are done, get one or two testimonials of your audience sharing their favorite take away. Then hire someone to edit this for a speaking demo for your website. Here are some alternatives to the Flip if you need them.

5. Make a speakers page for your website so you can refer gatekeepers and prospects to it. A speaking video should be short with clips from different places and speeches. It can be the transition you need into a large conference or business event you would have never otherwise gotten into.  It can also be the difference between you getting paid 300.00 and 3,000.00. You will place this on your website and also email it to potential clients. Many times a meeting planner won’t even look at you without this. 6.  Think about where large numbers (literally 10 and up) of your ideal clients can be found. Contact the gatekeepers and if you offer to serve them, God may open the door for you to do just that. One of the things I always suggest is to have copy with good headlines and the bullet points of your presentation in addition to an Mp3 audio or video. People like varying mediums and it comes across more professional if you have options for them to choose from. Learn how to pray the word of God in such a way that you declare where you are going. My favorite affirmation book for those who want to grow their “businistries”, John Eckhardt’s book>Prayers That Rout Demons and Break Curses. I have bought this book for literally 50 of my clients.

7.  Serve in associations, organizations and groups that your clients are connected into. This is one of the ways you begin to just step out in faith in an intentional way. It is not going to net you speaking immediately but as your reputation grows and your service is consistent, you will build trust in the community and be invited to speak by the members. You have to plant seeds ahead of where your going.

8. Write a letter describing your desire to speak and the topics and send it out to everyone on your contact list. Tell them you would like to serve at no cost to them and you will be following up with a call. And then call. Include your church and your Pastor and don’t forget to ask him if he can share it with the congregation or let you put up a flyer. Have professional graphics made inexpensively again on Fiverr.

9. Contact all the churches in your area and see if they have support groups that your clients might be part of. Offer to go and speak at no charge. For instance I had a client last year that was a Resume coach. She had a heart to serve college kids and those who were out of work. I shared this idea with her, told her to contact all the local churches in the area that had need of career counseling, transition groups (fifties and up) and job fair groups functioning in their congregations. She developed a workshop of 3 hours and Viola’ had so much business, her business took off. Start off speaking for free and as you gain testimonials begin to charge money.

10.  Let people know right from the podium that you would love to come speak for them. Have a document with your speeches and card attached to and give it out. Let people know that you would love to come speak for a minimal fee and that you love to give referral fee’s for business it brings to you. Carry $5.00 Starbucks cards and share that if anyone has a name for you to get in front of, you would love to buy them a cup of coffee. Cheezy but it works:). That goes for me! How to get speaking engagements begins with assuming you already have exactly what you need to get in front of your ideal audience.  That faith, clarity and your BOLD identity will empower you to create your ”parking space”, in a proverbial shopping lot that is otherwise overflowing with ”experts”.

What you believe is possible for you to step into locally and nationally concerning your speaking is an essential but often overlooked strategy.  Most businesses and non-profit ministries begin with a compelling desire and idea for serving individuals. However, the challenge for many is avoiding sabotaging their own success by not:

• clearly preparing ahead with intent, faith and action
•  watching for strategic alignment in your identity and purpose, what burdens you deeply is often a message God has formed for release in you
•  not giving up due to the frustration of  no connections and no invitations but  consistently communicating your willingness to serve.

The truth is preparation ALWAYS comes before promotion.

On the night that Rosa Parks was arrested, E.D. Nixon, head of the local NAACP chapter met with Martin Luther King Jr. and other local civil rights leaders to plan a citywide bus boycott. King was elected to lead the boycott because he was well-trained with solid family connections and had professional standing.

Suddenly season’s are never an accident. They are a convergence of numerous small things that have built consistently to a tipping point.

The first step to my success was back when I was invited to Toastmasters and overcoming the fear of public speaking. (I would get migraines when they asked me to share my name)..I had to push through the “WHY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF..I WILL NEVER BE INVITED TO SPEAK ANYWHERE” sabotaging mindset that would assail me the moment I started getting dressed to go to the meetings. I was homeschooling 4 children at this point and had no outside job, no opportunities to speak anywhere.

Little did I know in less than 4 years I would join a team and become a top performer in sales having to present to surgeons and then have an opportunity to get paid for national television appearances the next year. Then, launch my own Christian Identity company.

Today, I would like to talk to you about the 3rd tactic I believe the bombings reflect. Stealing your liberty and what brings you joy and freedom.

Frequently, clients I work with will struggle with pushing past negative emotions in order to move to the next BOLD identity God has for them.  This is primarily because I work alot with people who have come out of very chaotic backgrounds.

There are three common characteristics for those who come out of dysfunctional or addiction based homes.

They have difficulty having fun.

They are super responsible or super irresponsible

and they have trouble following through on transitions, projects or goals from beginning to end.

One of the challenges to growing bolder is processing through repressed emotions and especially fear and anger.

You like me, probably had tons of significant events sabotaged by the alcoholic parent that you don’t even allow yourself to invest emotionally in a meaningful event or goal that will fulfill you.

So, first, you’re not alone. This is pretty common. And you’re not crazy.

Here’s just a couple thoughts that my clients have expressed to me about staying focused and learning how to finish strong all the way to the end (and enjoy the process along the way).

>I always feel alone, even in the midst of a crowd.  I feel like I have to do it perfectly or not at all. I struggle with having a Bold Identity and still don’t know what or who I want to be when I “grow up”.

>When I have fun, I feel guilty or I expect some “bomb” to go off afterwards so I never let down emotionally. These are literal words I have heard which is why I felt so compelled in prayer to write this series.

>I am tried of trying so hard to grow my “insert business, ministry, etc” . I have been let down by myself and others so many times, I feel faint internally.

Your Mission  If You Choose To Accept It:

1. Understand that negative emotions are part of a NORMAL Christian life and do not have to keep you stuck in an old identity. They like everything else in the kingdom of God. They can be brought under Lordship through practicing the presence of God and doing practical things to harness them. Schedule time for God every am, non-negotiable. Speak the word of God when you feel anxious.

2. Take time everyday, despite your circumstances to consciously focus on what brings you joy.  It can be something as simple as taking a walk or hugging your children deeply. Joy does not require money and is different then entertainment. It’s a choice and has to be practiced for some.

3. Be careful to set boundaries in your personal life and business. If you feel sabotaged by people, it will distract you from finishing what you start and staying strategic with your vision.

Mental Toughness is your identity and inheritance. This is the second of eight in a series I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to write concerning the Boston Marathon bombings. I believe there is a suddenly season coming up for those who prepare and season of promotion that the enemy is attempting to sabotage.  We must be as harmless as doves and as wise as serpents if we are to follow the presence of God and build the mental toughness to take what is our identity in Christ.

Tactic #1:  Steal Your Hope

Last week, I talked with you about the enemy’s desire to steal hope from you. This word was confirmed immediately in an address that President Obama gave with the same scriptures - you can find that here.

Today I want to give you some history of the Boston Marathon so you can understand clearly the next assignment the enemy has to prevent you from building a BOLD identity and using it to influence others for the kingdom.

The Boston Marathon began in April 1897; it is the second longest continuously running footrace in North America.  The Boston Marathon was originally a local event, but its fame and status has now attracted runners from all over the world.

Women were not allowed to enter the Boston Marathon officially until 1972. Roberta “Bobbi” Gibb is recognized as the first woman to run the entire Boston Marathon (in 1966). In 1967, Kathrine Switzer, who had registered as “K. V. Switzer”, was the first woman to run with a race number. She finished, despite the fact a man in leadership, Jack Semple tried to rip off her numbers and eject her from the race.

Dick and Rick Hoyt are some of the most BOLD runners in this marathon.  Dick is the father of Rick, who has cerebral palsy. While doctors said he would never have a normal life and thought that institutionalizing Rick was the best option, Dick and his wife disregarded that advice and figured out a way to help him become an over-comer. 

Years later they had a computer device installed for Rick that helped him communicate and found out that one of his biggest passions was competing in sports. So they made that happen. “Team Hoyt” (Dick and Rick) started competing in charity runs, with Dick pushing Rick in a wheelchair. Dick and Rick have competed in 66 marathons and 229 triathlons (as of August 2008). Their top marathon finish was 2:40:47. The team completed their 30th Boston Marathon in 2012, when Dick was 72 and Rick was 50.

Now, I want to talk to you about the Boston Marathon bombing and how you can turn for good what the enemy seeks to steal from your identity and your inheritance – to use this time to counter-attack and take back what is yours.

Tactic #2: Break Down Your Mental Toughness So You Don’t Step Into A More Significant Life

People who get activated and move to higher levels of authority, liberty and multiplication do so because they have an ability to concentrate their efforts and energy on the results they want to maintain long-term. They can block out anyone or anything that prevents them from fully focusing on WHO or WHAT they want to become.

Bottom line? You will never achieve anything kingdom oriented without mental toughness and God has a specific word for MEN and WOMEN from the Boston Marathon attacks.

Ladies First ~ Quit feeling guilty for wanting to “run.” Guess what? He put that desire in you. Be willing to push through opposition from women who try to make you settle for status quo because they were taught by their mothers to stay small.  Push through the resistance you get from men in leadership positions who are attempting to define you according to traditions. Remember nobody accomplishes anything signficant without opposition.

Your marriage will be better and your kids more successful with a mother who is obedient to God. Quit comparing yourself to the women around you and follow what God has put in your heart to accomplish. Have the mental toughness not to let anyone else but God define you or who he is sending you to. You don’t need permission, you need boldness. If you’re married and your husband is on board, that’s the only agreement you need.

Start locally and grow from there. If you’re a stay-at-home Mom, praise God. Focus on your marriage and family and then make a plan to win your whole neighborhood to the Lord. If you’re a business owner, use your business as a kingdom conduit. Use every opportunity to let people know your core values, mission statement and come up with creative ideas on how to disciple through your business.

Men ~ You have a natural God-given authority to define and bring forth inter-generational blessing sby declaring a verbal blessing over your family and those within your sphere of influence.

Genesis 48:16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

When your with your kids, SPEAK to them WHO they are and what it means to carry your name. Have the mental toughness to push through what they will think of you and refuse to allow rejection to lay hold of your hearts if they disregard your instruction. You are not responsible for how they respond but just to do your part as DECLARING. Do the same with those around you who you desire to influence for kingdom purposes.

Your Mission If You Choose To Accept It?

1. Recognize that mental toughness has to be built by you CHOOSING to push through obstacles. It’s not given DNA wise typically. What is in your heart to accomplish this year? Give yourself permission to RUN with the vision.
2. Ask God to confirm to you through atleast one person what your next step is. Have the mental toughness to move forward now without 2 or 3 signs from God.
3. Speak forth blesssings to your family and those around you. Declare the purposes and plans of God over them despite what they say or how they act. The point of rejection is to isolate people away from their inheritance. Don’t let the enemy steal this from you and those you love.

The Boston Marathon Explosion has significant spiritual and practical ramifications for the Body Of Christ. It is not only our obligation to lift the victims of the Boston bombing up in our prayers but if we are BOLD, to harness the flood of pain it has caused, rise up in our identity in Christ and take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good.

I have been deeply grieved in prayer about the Boston marathon explosion. Burdened so much that I have lost sleep for days now, feeling that the Lord had a message he wanted to release to the Body of Christ.

I believe deeply that for every attack the enemy brings on the Body of Christ, the Lord has already prepared a plan for deliverance. He prepares us all individually for “Such a time as this moments” and if we couple faith with action,we can not only divert the enemy’s plans but we can take back inter-generationally what has been stolen from our families and nations.

I want to outline the specific implications of this explosion and how we can counter-attack it, today is the first in a series of 8.

This explosion is intended to undermine people’s hope and prevent them from looking to God as their source. There are multiple references to running races in the scripture. Not becoming weary in well-doing, looking back or being weighted by the world. Our identity is to be over-comers not by our might, nor by power, but by the spirit of the Lord.

I want to illuminate one scripture today that this attack attempts to sabotage the body of Christ with.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they
shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

The word ‘wait upon’ here in this verse, means properly to wait, in the sense of expecting. To trust in him, to put our hope or confidence in him. For those who are depressed, oppressed or in want, we can look to him for his mercy and intervention and deliverance. When we are weak, he is strong.

Your Mission If You Choose To Accept It

1. Write down three promises or “hopes” you have been believing God for. You may have put those on a vision board at the beginning of the year like I did.  In your next prayer time, bring them before the Lord and tell him that you are looking to him to establish this in your life. If you do not have 3 things you are specifically believing for, now is the time to develop that clarity and write them down. 2. Are you discouraged, are you weary, oppressed? Run to the Lord, set aside extra time to worship him. Do not harden your heart or medicate it with food, alcohol or activity. Take the time to process pain and watch this open up the door for supernatural power to be released on your life. Need a great song to worship with? Here you go, I love Israel and the New Breed.

3. Having trouble letting go? Sometimes when we have been traumatized either emotionally, spiritually, physically or financially, our hearts need extra prayer.  I suggest you watch this video as a prayer time in the morning and close your eyes while Jim, co-founder of House of Healing prays over you. The Sabbath was designed by God to give us a greater fullness of his presence and purposes here on earth. He “makes” us lay down in green pastures with the Sabbath.  It is worth the effort to practice it. It teaches us to commit consistently to  grounding ourselves in three crucial core values and it is our BOLD IDENTITY as Christians. It will enrich your personal life as well as help you serve people more effectively in your business as you will carry more of God’s presence naturally.

1.  It is called Holy by God because it is the day that he created Shalom or peace. The first six days the Father, through the Holy Spirit was creating and activating things into being. On the seventh he created “rest” which brought “faith and works” into partnership. This is where he created actual peace that we can enter into by faith and partake of his identity.  The Sabbath is not a break from work, it is an opportunity to be activated into more peace.

2. It requires us to separate ourselves from the world. It is the day that we recognize it is not by our works that we exist but by God’s grace.  When we keep it, we acknowledge a separation from trusting in our own efforts.  We have to think ahead, finishing our chores and obligations. Tuning ourselves in to God fully.

3. We meet with fellow believers and are joined in unity of our faith. We are commanded to not forsake the assembling of the saints and the sabbath is an opportunity to come together for more power, greater accountability and unified worship in the local church.

Your Mission If You Choose To Accept It?

1. Ask the Lord to give you a revelation of the Sabbath and then make a commitment to practice it. Make your meal on Saturday if your a Mom or cooking Dad and then do whatever it is in your power to not ask people to work on it. That means household chores, homework, etc. Don’t get legalistic with it but make a conscious effort to rest.

2. If your like me and had no revelation of why you were supposed to practice the Sabbath, ask God to forgive you, enter into a greater revelation of his presence and help you get done with peace what you need to get done to honor him on your Sabbath.

3. Resist bugging out of the local church. There is power in teaming with other believers or there would not be such an effort by the enemy to isolate people away from it. Make a new commitment to find a church and join a small group so you can get the accountability you need to grow more passionate and powerful for the kingdom.

Want to know how to multiply any gift or resource you have on your life? Consider it a stewardship from God and commit it to him,  practice it consistently and then boldly ask God to multiply it!  We all have received a gift, talent or resource that God has freely given us and can be leveraged for greatness. First, multiplication is God’s heart for you if you don’t sabotage yourself with hiding.

Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.  To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. 17So also, the one with the two talents gained two more.  But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ The man with the two talents also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.’

 Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

 ‘Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. Matthew 25:14

Every man should give according as he purposed in his heart, no grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

He who sows sparingly, shall reap sparingly and he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6

One of the most profound differences between the Old and New Testament is how the death of Christ freed us from the law and our own efforts and sacrifice. He added to us the gift of multiplication through the law of liberty and the Holy Spirit. How? Because now the Father is prompting us to draw close to the Holy Spirit, build  intimately with him  so that we hear directly from him and people confirm that direction so we can be spirit led.

It’s not a formula because God is after our HEARTS and willing obedience rather than legalistic requirements which produce POVERTY mentalities and striving.

Here’s how to grow anything consistently into multiplication with more grace.

Have clarity about your strength’s and graces God has given you. The more you practice, steward and focus on serving powerfully with it, the more God can increase you and put you before “Kings”. What began in my life as as a passion and small gifting, God grew into a thriving business. He can do the same for you.

Quit comparing yourself to other people, step out in faith and use the gift God gave you to bring growth into your life.  I wanted to share this story with you because I was so impressed with Jessica’s faith when she came to me. The Holy Spirit loves helping us multiply. Why? Because he loves fulfilling the Father’s heart! The promise of multiplication is found all through out the Old and New Testament.

If you have been frustrated feeling like you can move into “more” yet you haven’t been able to figure “how”, consider first your mindset’s and belief’s on multiplication. If at the core of your identity, you don’t feel like it’s biblical or it’s more spiritual to say “small” you will sabotage yourself. Multiplication is a  kingdom principle. This goes for discipleship and your businesses.

Here’s some scriptural reference to help you get started shifting into more grace with less stress.

Bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast. Let your hand be with me, and keep me from evil. (1 Chronicles.4:10)

When Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. ¹³ The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. (Genesis 26:12)

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. (John 15:7-8)

But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the Word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. (Matthew 13:23)

So what kinds of things will sabotage your ability to multiply?

1. Not spending time with God daily so when he speaks to you about specific’s in your life, you can recognize his voice and obey him fully. You cannot enjoy resurrection power and multiplication without suffering and Lordship. Obedience is cultivated through intimacy and the presence of God. This is a primary fact that prosperity preachers and teachers leave out.  Compromise will also cloud your clarity level for growth.

2. Not honoring God with what you have financially and then not honoring people with your increase. When we increase, we want to ideally use that to add to everyone on the team financially not just ourselves. From a ministry stand-point, tithe money where your being fed spiritually. From a business context,  sow with shout-outs, Linked In recommendations, testimonials and referrals. Respect is earned but increase comes to you when you turn back and say thank you for those who have helped you increase. When you receive freely, give freely.

3. Share what you have generously. What do you have that you can give away? Clothes in your closet that you’re not wearing? Extra sheets for your bed (How many do you need?) or golf clubs you haven’t used in ten years? If you haven’t used it for a year, give it away and seed into people with a nice note card. You will be amazed at how God honors giving what you can.

4. Not memorizing the word of God. There is no better way to let Satan steal all your potential seed for multiplication then to just struggle with condemnation or whatever and not take out the word of God and run him off.

5.  Giving your time, your heart and your talent BOLDLY. We will eat the fruit of our labor. Are you giving God something to multiply? Bring your fish and your one loaf talent wise and let him do the multiplying. Holding back because your loaf of bread is lopsided and you think your fish is a guppy, does nothing but put the focus on you and not on God’s ability.

Many people never move into exponential growth because they are struggling with perfectionism and don’t trust God’s timing for increase. You may have to labor for a long time some-times before you see your seed multiplied. I can tell you though in one day, you can go from 10 to 100. It’s scary fun (but now I prepare ahead:)

6. Not taking the time to put your identity into multiplication form. Have a heart to serve people with your message? You better be taking time to journal, blog, start that book you have been thinking about for years, put together a coaching manual or Face-book group that you can disciple with, video’s, etc. God can’t multiply you without FAITH and action. Take the leap and make yourself a conduit.

1. Think specifically about what you want to multiply on your life. Is it a talent you want to turn into a business? Your finances? More love? More clarity? Understand that you will increase in the area’s that you SPECIFICALLY focus on for a minimal of 30 days. It is not nuclear science, it’s a principle. And you can only chase one rabbit at a time, not two!

2. Write down the results you are getting from this focus, the challenges, the tweaks, what you are learning, what questions people are asking you, what resources you are coming into contact with. Save it.

3. Confess everyday over this area, the word of God and then if it is a tangible talent you are increasing, seed a small portion back into people as you grow so you can position yourself for God to increase you!

You need to know how to handle negative people or you won’t be able to stay BOLD in your personal life or businistry.  Why? Because negative people distract you from thinking clearly and taking the actions to serve people in powerful ways.  In short, they will wear you out.

Negative people seem to thrive on not taking ownership of their own success.  It is imperative if you want to stay purposed and BOLD, you learn to set clear (and might I add guilt-free)  boundaries around your personal life and businistry.

Because here’s the bottom line… difficult people or people who feel victmized, do not see typically see themselves as negative or as whiny. They have just been standing standing on the side-lines of life for so long, they don’t realize there is another way. Or they get an emotional pay-out from critiquing what you do as it distracts them from their own frustration about their lives.

So here  are a couple practical things you can do  to help you handle negative people or clients and prevent them from sabotaging you from living a BOLD life.

First, individuals who are negative are first and foremost, living a small and unfulfilled life.  They are frustrated with their own potential that is never channeled into results and in an attempt to quell their own fears, they complain. Sometimes, they are saturated with poverty and victimization thinking (and they could be in your family) so you have to learn how to navigate this.

Secondly, with most negative people, there is never resolution… There will always be something wrong or not quite to their expectations. They also will be in a constant place of reaching out and talking to the people that will affirm what they want to believe.

Pray for them for a couple weeks before communicating with them that they are coming across negative. Critical people often times drive away all healthy and successful people so I always try and go the extra mile remembering my days of self sabotage. I don’t let them off the hook but I do spend time praying for them first and asking God to help me, help them let go of the victimization thinking as it will hold them back from living a significant life.

Detach emotionally from their questioning and negativity. Also, do not allow it to distract you from your vision. Of course evaluate what you can take ownership of within your authority and change it if you feel it’s warranted but don’t allow them to manipulate you into violating your own beliefs, systems and protocol.

First and foremost, remember, we teach people how to treat us.

If your in business, watch for signs of dissatisfaction and offer refunds quickly and without questions. You do not want a high maintenance client. They will distract you from the clients that  you can serve powerfully.

If they are second guessing you and skeptical about your ability to help them, cut them loose. Especially as a faith based entrepreneur. God blesses unity and faith. You cannot want success for people more than they want it for themselves.

If they detach from you, try and objectively determine what you could have done better to serve them. I always try and tweak my process but I don’t over analyze and do not allow it to slow me down from serving the next person.  You have to realize that part of growing and serving more people means occasionally you will have a relationship that is stuck and not willing to change as they have become comfortable with an old identity. That has nothing to do with you.

3.  Keep your vision before you and declare it daily. You can’t be consistent with what you don’t have clarity for.

Understanding your value properly will make your purpose become clearer and things like managing your time and priorities, have more grace attached to them. The truth is most people do not set themselves aside first and foremost to an individual yet God everyday.

Not just the God, but a man who died for you personally. (Sometimes connecting with “God” is a bit out of our reach). We forget that Christ was all God, all man and he is jealous over you. Crazy stalking jealous in a magnificient, epic, heroic way.

If you don’t understand this kind of love, how precious and transformational it is, what it can deliver you out of and send you with power to do, it will prevent you from taking the time daily to access it.

Lastly, it will also prevent you from receiving the personal touch and pruning from Christ that will make your life intoxicating and compelling. Hugely blocking the understanding of your value to God and people. I want to share with you what the Lord has to say about..

Now, do you think private gardens are for everyone? No they are not. They are for a select few that God has called and will send you to.

1. Take time daily to read one chapter of the New Testament daily, ask the Lord to make manifest his presence to you. To ravish your heart so you can be a conduit for his love.

2. Close your eyes, visualize Christ in the room with you, ask the Holy Spirit to soften your heart, express your thankfulness for the price he paid for you individually. If you are a new Christian, tell him you want to get to know him personally and that you desire to obey him fully.

3. When you finish reading your one chapter, ask him if if there is anything personal he would like you to know or receive from him from that day and to conform you to his will and identity.
